5 Tips for a Successful Visit to FACHPACK

From smart travel arrangements and efficient networking to the perfect end to your stay in Nuremberg: with our five tips, trade fair visitors can get the most out of their FACHPACK visit – combining professional inspiration with moments of well-being.

Tip 1 – Travel Smart and Sustainably

A good day at the trade fair starts with the right planning. If you start early and relaxed, you will not only have more peace and quiet for intensive discussions, but you will also be able to organise your appointments better – including time slots for relaxing breaks.

Particularly practical for a stress-free journey: with your exhibitor pass or visitor ticket, you can now also use public transport free of charge throughout the VGN area (zones 100/200 – Nuremberg, Fürth, Stein, Oberasbach, Zirndorf) during FACHPACK. This not only saves money, but is also good for the environment. Those arriving by car can take advantage of charging stations for electric vehicles directly at the exhibition grounds.

And with lockers at the exhibition entrances, bags, jackets or heavy documents can be stored safely – so visitors can get around without any worries and are well organised to make the most of their day at the exhibition.

Tip 2 – Connect and Stay Visible

Trade fairs thrive on personal interaction – whether in conversation at the stand or digitally. So make sure you have business cards or an up-to-date online profile ready. Many exhibitors offer QR codes for direct LinkedIn contact, which makes networking particularly quick and sustainable.

Under the hashtag #FACHPACK, you will also find ongoing updates, spontaneous promotions and exciting insights on LinkedIn – perfect for ensuring you don't miss a thing. To ensure that the success of the trade fair does not get lost in everyday life, plan a fixed date for follow-up work in advance: sort contacts, write follow-up emails, document findings. Trade fair goals can also be cleverly achieved as a team – if everyone takes on a different focus (e.g. technology or marketing) and the results are then compiled, a valuable pool of knowledge is created that makes the trade fair visit effective in the long term.

Tip 3 – Make Use of Targeted Offers

FACHPACK is more than just an exhibition space – it is a laboratory of ideas for the future of the packaging industry. In addition to the large stands, formats such as the INNOVATIONBOX, the FuturePack Start-up Summit and the ‘Alternative Packaging Solutions’ pavilion provide fresh inspiration away from the mainstream. Those who take advantage of guided tours or highlight routes focusing on topics such as sustainability or digitalisation will quickly find their way to the most exciting innovations. A highlight in the trade fair calendar: Processing meets Packaging – the thematic bridge from FACHPACK to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM, which takes place seamlessly afterwards.

The Digital Guide is the ideal tool for orientation: it offers interactive hall plans, a filterable list of exhibitors, personalised route planning and access to the entire supporting programme. This way, you won't miss a single presentation and will have all the relevant information at your fingertips at all times – without the need for an additional app, but conveniently via the website or QR code on site.

Tip 4 – Don't Forget Comfort

A day at a trade fair means lots of impressions – and lots of walking. Comfortable shoes are therefore just as important as a water bottle to help you stay focused throughout the day. But breaks are also part of the recipe for success: if you consciously plan time for relaxation, you will remain alert and open to conversation for longer. Away from the hustle and bustle, there are small retreats – such as the rose garden in front of the exhibition hall, ideal for a quick breather or an informal meeting in the green. The modern, light-flooded Hall 3C also invites you to linger with its architecture and creates a special atmosphere in which new ideas can emerge.

Tip 5 – Experience Nuremberg

FACHPACK does not end at the hall exit. Those who take advantage of the proximity to the city after the trade fair closes can round off the day with lasting impressions. A stroll through the historic Weißgerbergasse, a drink at the castle wall or dinner in one of the cosy old town restaurants offer the perfect balance to the hustle and bustle of the trade fair. The Dutzendteich public park with its pedal boat hire or a detour to the Gutmann beer garden also offer a relaxing change of pace. For those who want to experience Nuremberg from above, a trip to the Imperial Castle is well worth it: the view over the city's rooftops is an unforgettable end to an intense day at the trade fair.
