Be it the product, process or service – innovations are an elementary component of the packaging sector and this year a central theme of FachPack, the European trade fair for the packaging industry. As a result, Nuremberg from 27 to 29 September will once again be the meeting point for inspiration and concrete solutions covering all aspects of packaging, technology, processing and logistics. The last event attracted around 44,000 trade visitors who came for an exchange with the 1,565 exhibitors on the products and services in the packaging sector. In 2016, over 500 new products and innovations are being presented. These have been allocated to a total of seven theme clusters and can now already be accessed via the exhibitor and product database.

More than ever before: 44,022* trade visitors (2013: 34,598) came to Nuremberg’s FachPack. With 1,565* exhibitors (2013: 1,439) and the additional space of the new Hall 3A, the European trade fair for the packaging industry is thus setting records in all three key exhibition figure areas. “The ultimate package is no package” – this provocative quote from US designer and keynote speaker Karim Rashid at the opening marked the launch of this extremely successful FachPack and in the days that followed, in eleven halls, proved how innovative and exciting the packaging sector is.
