Trends, Talents, Technologies – FACHPACK Highlights 2025
FACHPACK 2025 brings the world of packaging to Nuremberg. With its extensive supporting programme, the trade fair enriches the exhibitors' offerings and thus becomes a meeting place for everyone who wants to help shape the future of the industry.

Anyone strolling through the exhibition halls at FACHPACK will immediately sense that this is where the heart of the European packaging industry beats. This is where the latest technology and developments meet people who are enthusiastic about packaging in a friendly atmosphere. Participants particularly appreciate the fact that FACHPACK is not just an exhibition – it is a trade fair with character, practical and focused on what really moves the industry. This is reflected in the stands, but also in the varied supporting programme.
In 2025, FACHPACK will once again be dominated by the main theme of ‘Transition in Packaging’, providing a stage for the profound changes currently taking place in the world of packaging. The main theme highlights the fact that the industry is on the move – towards greater sustainability, digitalisation, innovative materials and a functioning circular economy. Visitors can look forward to a multifaceted programme that highlights these and many other trends – from visionary raw material innovations and state-of-the-art packaging technologies to automation solutions that make processes more efficient and resource-friendly.
The trade fair not only showcases the entire spectrum of the process chain, but also offers space for discussion, exchange and joint design. In the three forums, in pavilions, at networking events or live on FACHPACK.TV – everywhere it becomes clear how closely innovation and practice are linked here.

Forums: Exchange on Eye Level
The three forums PACKBOX, INNOVATIONBOX and SOLPACK 6.0 form a core part of the supporting programme. Here, experts discuss the major topics facing the industry – from the challenges of the PPWR regulations until 2030, to the circular economy and climate change, to AI, digitalisation and alternative fibre raw materials.
PACKBOX in Hall 4 offers a curated programme from renowned partners and invites visitors to listen and join in the discussion. In INNOVATIONBOX in Hall 7, exhibitors present their new products and process innovations in short, concise presentations, charmingly moderated by Petra Bindl. The SOLPACK 6.0 forum in Hall 3, led by Peter Desiléts, Managing Director of the packaging design agency Pacoon GmbH, focuses on sustainable packaging solutions and complements the ‘Alternative Packaging Solutions’ pavilion.
Networking & Community: Shaping the Future Together
On the day before the trade fair, 22 September, the FuturePack Summit will bring together start-ups, investors and industry. Here, developments and strategies from newcomers will be showcased shortly before the start of the trade fair, building bridges to the market.
On the first day of the trade fair, WOMEN4PACKAGING will also invite female industry players to network. High-profile speakers such as Steffanie Rainer (reo) and Simone Mosca (Mosca GmbH) will provide impetus and create a space for exchange and inspiration.

Awards and Young Talent: A Stage for Talent
The German Packaging Award, Europe's largest exhibition for packaging, will be presented in ten categories on 23 September. Among the more than 200 entries from 15 countries, young talents will once again be honoured with a special FACHPACK award.
The third day of the trade fair is dedicated to STUDENT DAY. Here, students meet companies and brand manufacturers, exchange ideas in workshops and learn about everyday working life in the industry – accompanied by a trade fair rally and an informal meet & greet.
Live Programme: FACHPACK.TV
FACHPACK.TV will be broadcasting live from Hall 4 on all three days. Matthias Laux and Jan Malte Andresen, presenters of the packaging journal, will be conducting interviews, panels and discussions – a showcase for current trends and personalities. Visitors can experience first-hand how TV is made and at the same time access all content online or via social media.

Pavilions: In-Depth Themed Worlds
New to the programme is the ‘Converting meets Packaging’ pavilion in Hall 7. With seven exhibitors, it focuses on the interface between the converting industry and the packaging sector and provides a forum for discussion on finishing, coating, printing and adhesive technologies.
The ‘Alternative Packaging Solutions’ pavilion in Hall 3 returns with 14 exhibitors and presents innovative materials ranging from grass and leaf paper to cushioning material made from cereal husks. The SOLPACK 6.0 forum is also located here.
Of course, start-ups also have their place: at the BMWK joint stand ‘Young Innovators’ and in the Newcomer Pavilion. Here, young companies and first-time FACHPACK exhibitors present their fresh ideas. The spectrum is complemented by the proven ‘Labels & More’ pavilion in Hall 7, which showcases the diversity of labelling solutions.
Conclusion: A Meeting Place for Ideas, Trends and People
FACHPACK 2025 brings together trends, talents and technologies on one stage. It thus remains the meeting place where the future of the packaging industry takes shape – practical, inspiring and accessible.
