From 2030, the EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) will require up to 35% recycled content in plastic packaging.

But the market is lagging behind: high-quality recycled materials are in short supply, technical hurdles are high – and for applications in the food sector, EFSA approval for mechanically recycled polyolefins on an industrial scale is still lacking. The result: a growing gap between political aspirations and industrial reality.

The solution: credit trading from CRC offers a credit system that helps companies meet their recycled content quotas.
