Session description
Using newly developed examples of barrier packaging, their practical design is comprehensively analysed.
Key criteria are systematically compared by way of example: the necessity of current packaging solutions, their suitability for processing on existing packaging machinery, the realistic recyclability of all material components based on findings from the research projects EnEWA and SPARE, as well as their economic viability under typical market conditions.
