About us
Muhr & Söhne GmbH & Co.KG was founded in 1934 by Heinrich W. Muhr in Attendorn/Westphalia as a company for sheet metal processing and galvanizing. In the 1960s, the production of steelplate packaging was expanded to include tinplate packaging; starting in the late 1970s, the first approvals for hazardous goods packaging were obtained.
Today, the business is managed by Michael J. Muhr in second generation. At three production sites in Attendorn (NRW) and Ohrdruf (Thuringia) we employ approx. 220 people. With a production area of 50,000 m² and more than 20 production lines, we manufacture containers in 12 different nominal diameters for filling quantities from 1 to 250 liters (0.25 – 66 US gal).
