The solar-powered EcoCortec® plant, located in Croatia, specializes in manufacturing Cortec® Corporation’s innovative Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI®/VCI) film. The company offers customers complete converting, extruding, and printing capabilities. EcoCortec’s anticorrosion packaging solutions provide the most reliable VCI film protection on the market today. EcoCortec’s films, bags, and papers are used in countless industries and applications around the globe, offering users an easy and effective way to protect metal parts and equipment from rust and corrosion. EcoCortec® VpCI®/VCI® films and bags contain Cortec’s proprietary blend of Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors to protect packaged metals from rust or corrosion. Metals are protected both through direct contact and vapor-phase action.

Environmentally safe anti-corrosion films and bags are manufactured utilizing the most contemporary available technologies today. We also develop and produce multiple green packaging options without corrosion inhibitor. The plant is located on a green complex in the Croatian region of Baranja, which is an excellent geo-strategic location in Central Eastern Europe. Over 90% of EcoCortec's products are exported around the globe. We specialize in producing films and bags tailored to customer specifications, offering flexibility in both product size and performance. Additionally, we are open to various order sizes and prioritize meeting special customer requests, including just-in-time deliveries. Today, biodegradable, compostable materials are the gold standard in the modern packaging industry. Our team of scientists and engineers works hard to develop smart, environmentally safe packaging solutions that are not hazardous to the environment but will enable the strongest corrosion protection and will fully satisfy our customers in their performance. We offer a wide range of biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable, TUV certified packaging options, including films, papers, and the latest green developments in stretch, shrink, and ESD packaging. All our VpCI®/VCI films provide multi-metal corrosion protection, eliminating the need to stock many different films for different types of metal. This allows our customers significant time and cost savings.

EcoCortec® has undergone several expansion phases due to increasing market demand for VCI films and bags. We are continually expanding and improving our product assortment. The company utilizes its own resources such as R&D service and world-class laboratory to create and develop a wide spectrum of new products on a yearly basis. Our in-house, ISO certified laboratory can perform testing compliant with Military Specifications (MIL-STD 3010) and ASTM standards. Our plant has been part of several EU-funded projects that were targeted towards decreasing plastic waste. We are especially proud of our recycling center where our films are recycled and reprocessed into a new product. This way, we managed to achieve a true “circular economy” in our manufacturing and disposal processes. In 2022, EcoCortec® built new reprocessing and compounding plants and recently installed a state-of-the-art Erema regranulation machine.
