This half-day conference, hosted by Packaging Europe in collaboration with CEFLEX, explores the state of European efforts to build a circular economy in flexible packaging – and the key demands and challenges on the road ahead. Stakeholders from the value chain, waste management and CEFLEX itself will discuss:

• How to create demand to accelerate a circular economy.
• What packaging waste goes where – and targeting steps to improve circularity. Insights from an international study of plastic packaging waste: Compositional analysis of plastics (flex & rigid).
• EPR & flexible packaging: criteria for success and how we can work to support.
• What can and can’t be recycled? Reducing uncertainty and boosting circularity knowledge for packaging design: sharing test results on NIR, sortability and recycling protocols by CEFLEX and several European labs.
