Measures to protect exhibition participants
Personal networking? A sure thing!
The HERE wins! We are very pleased to welcome you again in person at the Exhibition Center Nuremberg. NürnbergMesse has developed a viable hygiene concept together with the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian exhibition companies, which you can read about on these pages. The basis is the framework hygiene concept for trade fairs and exhibitions valid in Bavaria.
At a glance: How safe trade shows succeed in Nuremberg:
- Ensuring a safe distance of 1.5 meters
- Mandatory wearing of masks in indoor areas for visitors (FFP2 masks) as well as for exhibitors, stand personnel, stand builders and service providers (medical masks such as surgical masks, approved in accordance with German SARS-Cov-2 occupational health and safety regulations)
- Contact tracing of all trade show participants
- Visitor access for tested, vaccinated and recovered persons with appropriate proof only
- Catering: In accordance with the Bavarian Hospitality Hygiene Concept
We have summarized the current entry requirements regarding your visit to trade fairs and congresses for you here here: www.nuernbergmesse.de/en/entry-requirements
We will stay tuned for you – our customers – and keep you continuously informed about the applicable regulations.
1. Safe together
Please observe a social distancing of 1.5 m between people in all areas of the exhibition grounds.
We support compliance with the safety distance through planning measures such as wider aisles, revised entrance areas, and increased floor space.
Seating in forums and conference area also takes the safety distance into account. The digital guidance system, floor markings and notices draw attention to compliance with the distance rules.
In general, all persons are required to wear masks in the interior spaces of the exhibition venue. Only children up to their 6th birthday are exempt from the mask requirement.
FFP2 masks are mandatory for visitors. For exhibitors, medical masks, e.g. surgical masks, are also permitted in accordance with the German SARS-Cov-2 occupational health and safety ordinance. Due to the (epidemiological) development and the vaccination progress, measures may ease.
In outdoor areas, masks are not required if the minimum distance is observed.
If you forget or lose your mask, a supply of standardised face coverings is available at central locations on the exhibition grounds.
We will continuously check whether and to what extent it is necessary to wear a face covering.
We strongly recommend frequent and thorough hand washing. Hand washing and sanitizing facilities designed with social distancing in mind are available for you.
We kindly ask you to follow the usual etiquette regarding sneezing and coughing.
Only visit the NürnbergMesse exhibition grounds if you are in good health.
If you have symptoms typical of COVID-19 during your visit to the exhibition venue, please leave the exhibition grounds.
2. Service for Safety
Ticket sales and voucher redemption take place exclusively online. Contact details are also recorded for possible contact tracking. The tickets are available on mobile devices and allow contactless access.
In addition to a valid ticket, visitors need appropriate proof of tested, vaccinated and recovered status.
Exhibitors, stand personnel, stand builders and service providers do not require proof of recovered, vaccinated or tested status in accordance with the German SARS-Cov-2 occupational health and safety regulations.
For your safety, we will regularly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g. tables, handrails, door handles) as well as our sanitary facilities at more frequent intervals.
You will find hand washing and disinfection facilities designed with social distancing in mind at all important places on the grounds.
Our exhibition venue is equipped with an innovative digital navigation and information system. This enables us to disseminate information accurately, control visitor flows, and provide information on up-to-date regulations.
NürnbergMesse has optimized its powerful ventilation systems in accordance with the recommendations of the relevant industry associations. The ventilation systems run with a significantly increased proportion of external air of up to 100 percent and a longer operating time. In this way they actively contribute to reducing the risk of infection. The air exchange rate (air exchange per hour) is at least 6 in the halls and at least 10 in the conference rooms, which means that there is a complete exchange of room air about every five minutes. Events in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center thus have an open air quality.
The exhaust air ducts are located on the roof of the halls and thus not in the immediate vicinity of outdoor areas with public traffic (such as parking lots). They are arranged in such a way that the exhaust air escapes into the environment and cannot mix with the supply air.
Before being supplied into the halls or conference rooms, outdoor air is filtered. In doing so, germs and bacteria are removed. Also due to the filtration no droplets which could contain corona viruses are transported into the rooms. According to current knowledge, the transmission of corona viruses via ventilation or air conditioning systems can be virtually ruled out in this mode of operation. (Source: FGK e.V.)
Please use the option to pay contactless (e.g. parking areas, cloakroom service, restaurants, kiosks).
Our gastronomy service partner Lehrieder has created a comprehensive concept for hall gastronomy and stand catering that meets the legal requirements as well as the overarching rules of Bavarian gastronomy. All other caterers working at the fair are also obliged to comply with the requirements of the hygiene concept.
More information about catering at exhibition stands can be found here.
Qualified medical care is available on site at all times. The medical service is always present at events – from the set-up through the entire duration of the trade fair to dismantling. Medical emergencies are treated directly on site. If necessary, they are supported by the public emergency service.
