Sustainable packaging. Naturally.

Our first step towards more sustainability was the successful launch of our Green Gerschon series - a standard portfolio of bio-based and recycled products. The carbon neutral Green PE is based on sugarcane and has almost the same properties as conventional polyethylene. However, one ton of Green PE saves up to 3,09 tons of CO2. Also, Green PE is just as attractive as normal PE, with its modern look and soft touch. It’s certified for cosmetic and pharmaceutical use and of course, for vegan and organic formulations. Same applies for our PCR (post-consumer-resin) recyclates, where new process technologies enable manufacturing the insides of the products from conventional (virgin) PP, and all parts that do not come into contact with the cosmetic product, from up to 80% PCR material. Green PE and PCR can be fully recycled via standard recycling systems, just like 90% of our traditional product portfolio, protecting resources and the environment. Our long-term goal is to carbon-offset our entire product range, and to optimize our entire ecological footprint as a company.
