Peters ' organic cups are certified with the OK compost seal in accordance with the EU standard EN 13432. Peter's organic cups and colours are completely compostable. The raw materials are renewable or fossil raw materials that can be fully reintegrated into the material cycle. Peters paper comes from Scandinavian suppliers who source their fibres from FSC® compliant and in sustainable forestry (FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council Certificate). The PLA coating consists of a cornstarste-based biopolymer. Contrary to the previously common plastic-coated cups, the new bio-cup is completely biodegradable and compostable.

The new PLA coating has been tested in many tests on its equivalent quality with tightness and taste. Even with a longer transport time, the coating does not diverge. Even with hot and cold, the aromas remain in every respect.
