The digital sensor system TecPac enables the non-destructive control the protective atmosphere of 100% of all packaging directly during the packaging process. It guarantees and documents the highest quality of food for the consumer and reduces the amount of food waste..
80% of the packaging of perishable foods such as fish, meat, cheese, bread and vegetables but also pharmaceuticals are packaged in a protective atmosphere. This does not contain oxygen, slowing down the aging of the food and thus ensuring a guaranteed shelf life. A 100% control of this protective atmosphere, without destruction of the packaging, was not possible until now. The TecPac sensor system controls the protective atmosphere of all packaging directly at the packaging machine without contact and also ensures that defective packages are rejected. The system consists of a sensor and a sensor spot printed on the inside of the packaging. The sensor detects the sensor spot and then measures the oxygen content in the packaging. The measuring system can be installed in thermoformer, tray sealer and flow wrap machines.
The advantage for the consumer is the guaranteed high quality of the food as well as the reduction of food-related diseases.
The advantage for the manufacturers is the cost reduction through the reduction of food waste (approx. 3%) and packaging material and the comprehensive and documented QC, which prevents or reduces product returns, defective products at the customer and complaints.
This leads to a sustainable use of resources. There is currently no other system on the market that enables 100% quality assurance without reducing production speed. The quality test with the devices available on the market leads to the destruction of the packs and can therefore only be used for random samples or leads to a significant reduction in process speed. In addition to the food and pharmaceutical industries, TecPac's areas of application include the beverage industry, preservation as well as the electronics and insulating glass industries.
