SECURIKETT's almost transparent VOID seals are tamper-proof, leave underlying text and codes visible, and work on almost all cardboard surfaces. They safely meet the requirements of European and international standards:
- Directive 2011/62/EU of the European Parliament, Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD)
- ISO DIS 21976:2017(E) Packaging – Tamper verification features for medicinal product packaging
The tamper-evident VOID effect makes an initially invisible symbol or text appear on the packaging and the seal, as soon as it is removed.. This effect is clearly visible and irreversible.
The transparent VOID seals offer a clear advantage over fiber tear seals and seals made of fragile material: information, e.g. statutory, is not hidden by transparent VOID seals! Transparent fiber tear seals and seals made of fragile material must only be placed where no text is located. It would no longer be readable when tearing the packaging or the seal.
Seals are also available with luminescence to facilitate presence control on the sealed packaging, even with highly transparent seals.
These seals are used and tested not only in the EU but worldwide on pharmaceutical packaging.
Excerpt from ISO DIS 21976:2017(E) Packaging – Tamper verification features for medicinal product packaging: „Tampering of the sealing label or tape or opening of the packaging shall lead to visible, irreversible damage or change of the packaging and/or of the label or tape. The application of tamper verification features shall not compromise the readability of statutory information. The statutory text on the packaging should remain readable after opening the pack“.
