In order to accomplish the measurement and identification, a coded dot pattern is applied to a carrier substrate. During the measurement, a camera records the contours of the object and precisely evaluates the X and Y coordinates. This opens up numerous possibilities to record surfaces, angles, edges and diameters.
Possible applications can be found in the paper industry, in the processing of printed products as well as many other industry branches where an exact measurement of flat surfaces is essential. For example, the results of die-cutting and trimming operations can be measured extremely fast and with the highest precision using this measurement method.
