Bausch+Ströbel’s versatile VarioSys production system addresses the pharmaceutical industry’s need for space-saving equipment that can be quickly reconfigured for different packaging materials and medicines.
Since it was first launched in 2013, VarioSyshas been steadily expanded –and is now an established brand in the industry. Originally developed jointly with BöhringerIngelheim, the product essentially consists of two components:
• a standardizedSkancleanroom isolator and
• a similarly standardized, interchangeableBausch+Ströbelmachine module that works on the key-lock principle.
VarioSysis just as suitable for use in the laboratory as it is in a fully automatic, low-volume production line thanks to the in-line connectivity of the isolator chambers.
VarioSysmachine modules are available for the processing of vials, syringes, cartridges and ampoules..
These can be processed both as RTU containers packed in nests and tubs or trays or as bulkwarein combination with a Bausch+Ströbelcleaning machine and sterilizing tunnel. A module for filling IV bags can be supplied by Harro Höfliger.
New Module for RTU-Vials
VarioSysis now even more user-friendly thanks to a module for fully automatic tub opening and RTU vial denesting. Used in combination with the KSF5105 bulk filling and closing system, this new module offers fully automatic in-nest opening (tubs), denesting, filling, stoppering, crimp capping and tray loading of RTU vials. As a result, nested vials can now be processed with 100% In Process Control (IPC) at maximum machine output.
Flexible and expandable
Customers who choose VarioSysare opting not so much for a machine as a system solution. For example, a system originally only used for bulk processing can now also be employed to process RTU syringes simply by adding a nest filling module. The line concept can be expanded at any time with isolators, machine modules and freeze dryers.
