Since 1579 paper has been manufactured in St. Pölten Stattersdorf (in Lower Austria) where the paper mill still is located today.
At the end of the 18th century (1798) Kaspar Salzer acquired the paper mill which is owned by the Salzer family until this very day.
In St. Pölten Stattersdorf we manufacture 100% wood free bulky paper, which is mainly used for high quality books (hard-cover and premium soft-cover), as well as high quality woodfree design papers.
