Dieter Halbfas (47) has been appointed as the other SLG managing director, in addition to Dieter Stockkamp (64), the current managing partner with a majority shareholding.
Dieter Halbfas studied industrial engineering in Karlsruhe and has many years of experience in the automotive and logistics industry. He was previously managing director of an international logistics service provider for several years and responsible for the expansion and development of production sites in Europe and Asia.
The sole managing director at the time, Dieter Stockkamp, managed to recruit Mr Dieter Halbfas as sales manager in December 2017.
As part of SLG’s new strategic direction, the co-shareholders and authorised signatories Gunter (60) and Jürgen (57) Stockkamp decided to call in reinforcement for the management team. With the appointment of Mr Dieter Halbfas as another Managing Director, an important milestone has been laid in succession planning and the company’s further growth.
SLG Kunststoff GmbH wants to continue its dynamic development of recent years by bringing young blood into the senior management team.
SLG Kunststoff GmbH's corporate strategy is aimed in particular at expanding the Transport and Packaging business segment with its own, innovative products. Dieter Halbfas will be able to contribute all his expertise and many years of experience to developing this business segment further.
With 280 employees, SLG Kunststoff is one of the largest employers in the region with sales of approx. €55 million.
SLG stands for tradition and innovation: as a family-run business, deeply rooted in the region and very attached to its people, we place great importance on reconciling responsibility and progress. Stability and continuous development have been the pillars of our long-term success since 1978.
