PE HB ECO new recyclable material is the first polyethylene structure available with high barrier properties, which means it can replace your non-recyclable structures.

Among the features of this new recyclable PE HB ECO material, we can highlight its high-barrier properties, and its capacity to withstand heat treatments such as pasteurisation, hot-fill and microwaving processes. It is also characterised by its high degree of transparency. As regards format, this material can be used for stand-up pouches, 3-weld pouches, pouches with side pleats, and for horizontal and vertical filling processes. It is ideal for all sectors that require a high-barrier material for products such as sauces, liquids, pre-prepared meals, superfoods and nuts, among others.

This material is also available without a barrier (PE ECO), providing a mono-material recyclable structure.

The new BIO FVSOL 60 material by SP GROUP, which is totally biodegradable, compostable and bio-based, to comply with the EN 13432 standard. BIO FVSOL 60 is a laminate with a base of PLA (polylactic acid) and PVOH (polyvinyl alcohol), both of which are biodegradable. This new material is part of our SOL range, which is characterised by high-barrier films that condense maximum protection in minimum thickness and are entirely suitable for food use.
 

PRINCIPAL FEATURES:

– BIO FVSOL 60 packaging stands out for its exceptional rigidity and high-degree of transparency. Optimum transparency ensures the product inside is clearly visible.

– BIO FVSOL can currently be used in the VFFS and HFFS packaging machines and also for three side sealed pouch of a standard thickness of 60 microns.

– For the whole of the packaging to be biodegradable, we also have to use biodegradable inks. The techniques used are rotogravure and flexography.

– The sectors currently considered ideal for using BIO FVSOL are those whose products are not too moist, for example:

• DRIED FRUIT AND NUTS, SNACKS AND SPICES
• DRY FOODSTUFFS (sugar, flour, dry pasta, pulses, etc.)
• ANIMAL FEED
• SALCHICHAS CURADAS EN STRING

Using the VSteam Bag we launched in 2014 as a starting point, our R&D and Innovation department has developed better techniques to ensure that, in addition to being frozen at low temperatures, these bags can also withstand pasteurisation and sterilisation processes, and then be cooked in the microwave.

We meet all health and food safety standards, as the tests performed on the Sterilisable VSteam bag guarantee that the packaging withstands the pasteurisation and sterilisation of the product in industrial autoclaves with counter-pressure, without risk of breakage or losses (under controlled conditions).

SP EMBOSS is a new technique of embossing through thermoforming that is applied to the bag after it has been formed. This personalisation gives the packaging an attractive and elegant look and can be combined with the design so the printing coincides with the embossed design.

This means we can already incorporate Braille into flexible packaging to help consumers read the product information, which significantly increases the opportunity to get your products to visually impaired people.

Paper is the currently the ideal material for SP EMBOSS, which makes SP GROUP’s Naturfilm range the best choice for this type of personalisation; a further complement to an already visually attractive and elegant packaging solution.
 

R-Closing Efficient is a material of our time. It contains a high barrier with no chlorine products, and combines good laminate opening with safe, resealable closing. Combining it with our Apet Efficient, makes the packaging resealable and sustainable as it reduces thickness.

The R-Closing Efficient structure is available in transparent, white and metallic finishes; just choose the one that meets your needs.

This material can be printed using any technique and is available from 75 microns upwards.. It is the perfect combination: sufficient rigidity to ensure the lid falls smoothly but firmly and recloses, and the flexibility required for it to open smoothly.

Its greatest benefit? That it can withstand being opened and closed many times, and our R&D and Innovation department has a study to prove it. The graph below show a comparison between R-Closing Efficient and one of our competitor’s materials.
