KOLBUS AutoBox manufactures box making machines for the corrugated box industry, specialising in equipment for short or medium runs.
All machines feature the AutoBox "Quick Set" technology making them quick and easy to change between box size or FEFCO style of box.
British Converting Solutions (BCS) was acquired by KOLBUS in 2018 and renamed to KOLBUS AutoBox Ltd. The KOLBUS group completes its business activities towards packaging technology.
In addition to machines for corrugated board processing (On Demand Boxmaking, rotary die-cutters, flexo print modules), the existing product range also includes machine systems for luxury packaging production (patented BOXline system) with case makers and automatically board cutting lines or precise grooving technology.
KOLBUS GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Rahden, Westphalia, in northern Germany, is proud of a long tradition of engineering excellence. The company, with around 750 employees, 150 apprenticeships in the KOLBUS Ausbildung GmbH. Founded in 1775, Kolbus has been supplying paper processing machinery since 1900. The company built a world reputation for its highly automated bindery machines. Today, the KOLBUS Special Machinery business unit engineers machinery and systems for the production of book cases and packaging made from paper and cardboard, and corrugated board. Apart from the main plant in Rahden, KOLBUS also operates production plants in Krostitz near Leipzig/Germany, in Kalamazoo/Michigan and Houghton Regis, England.
