KAPAG Karton + Papier AG was founded in Muhen, Switzerland in 1852. Today the family-owned company specialises in producing, coating and finishing multiply paper and paperboard. Thanks to its two- to six-ply lamination capacity of around 20 000 tonnes annually and a dozen finishing machines, KAPAG is the leading paper and paperboard laminator in Europe.
KAPAG can produce or convert materials from very low weights (from 45g/m2) through to 5 millimetres thick and processed widths range from 25 millimetres up to almost 2.5 metres. Applications are diverse, from premium packaging for luxury goods and high-end graphics to uses in logistics and industry. KAPAG is FSC-certified. More than 90% of the total energy consumption is generated without C02 emissions.
