Tiedemann Instruments – Measurement Technologies
Tiedemann Instruments is a traditional and innovative family business in the production and sales of measurement technologies.
The company was founded in 1950 by Dipl.-Ing. Dietrich Tiedemann. Today the owner Dr.-Ing. Michael Müller is continuing the business and its expansion.
Products of Tiedemann Instruments:
1. Force Measurements with Analog and Digital Ring Dynamometer:
They are ease to use without external power and can be find quite often in mechanical and automotive research and engineering. We offer a calibration service up to 100 kN.
2. Photoelastic Equipment:
These products can easily help to identify the stress status for example in windscreen glas or headlight cover glas as well as to demonstrate stress in various plastic parts etc. Our polariscopes and models for the visualization of stress are an excellent instrument for science and engineering education.
3. CALTEST Analysis Program for Pressure Measurement Films
4. Force Test Tools:
Tiedemann offers a range of tools to measure the force in special applications. From anchor tester to a head load tester for wine bottles, a system for ergonomics tests to a tensioning system for overhead wiring of high-speed trains.
Distributed by Tiedemann Instruments
1. Materials Testing:
In this area we offer a wide range of instruments and laboratory equipment to control the permeability of various materials and their physical properties.
Paper, foils, plates, tubes and other packaging materials can be, for example, tested for water vapor, oxygen or gas permeability. Besides Tiedemann offers numerous mechanical material testing systems to measure the impact resistance and mechanical strength such as tensile and compression testing systems, systems for friction, shear, abrasion or tensile strength measurement. Other testers examine the heat-sealing properties, shrinkage, tightness or the condensation precipitation.
2. Pressure Sensitive Film Prescale:
For three decades Tiedemann is the European partner for FUJIFILM Prescale pressure measuring films for measuring surface pressures. The films are simple and universally applicable. So the car tire footprint or the cylinder head gasket, the tightness of the sterile packaging or the flatness of a wafer disk can visualize and measured. Along with the Tiedemann evaluation software CALTEST measurement results can be easily and accurately quantifed.
3. Thermoscale and UVSCALE:
Other measuring films are the films Thermoscale to measure the heat transfer in the area of temperatures from 60 to 210 °C or the film UVSCALE a UV light sensitive film to measure the radiation for all common UV lamps. As the largest distributor of the pressure measuring, heat and UV light-measuring films in Europe, we have these products always available for immediate delivery.
4. Electronic Pressure Measurement Pad Tactilus:
Tactilus Stretch is a matrix sensor which can be placed as a thin mat between all body for measuring the surface pressure. It offers for the first time the possibility to measure surface pressures on a 3-dimensional surface. The Tactilus Stretch has a measuring range from 20 mbar to 6.9 bar and an elasticity of 20% or 60% .The stretch film with 1024 sensors is ideal for measuring automobile or wheelchair seats, bicycle saddles or thermoforming molds. The measured over time dynamic data with max. 50 frames/s led to a notebook. The intuitive program can visualize the results in real time via easy-to-understand graphs for surface and pressure information.
5. Roller Alignment with Sigma-Nip:
The electronic nip analysis system Sigma-Nip measures the nip width, or the contact surface length between the rollers which are pressed against each other. The Sigma-Nip system consists of 3 to 25 sensors, and an analysis program. The software records the nip widths in real time and presents it in an easily interpretable way on the screen. The user recognizes thus immediately whether the rollers are properly adjusted or worn. Changes in the adjustment can be directly monitored on screen.
