Schut Systems introduces Lock-Well®, a completely new tray concept made  of 100% paper, with or without compartments developed in cooperation with PilloPak manufacturer packaging of ultra light corrugated paper. It’s an environmental friendly alternative to plastic trays.

The concept consists of a special tray erector, for example a Sprinter F60 or F60-2 carton erector, which can be integrated in an existing packaging line, and an unfolded tray delivered as blank. This blank of corrugated paper is formed quickly and efficiently to a tray with or without compartments by means of the tray erector without using glue.

Easy to integrate
Lock-Well® is light weight and there are various possibilities in terms of material composition. Biodegradable coatings are among the options. The trays can also be equipped with a customized printing.

The Lock-Well® tray erector can be integrated in an existing packaging line. Change over to other tray sizes is easy and because of the "locking" principle no glue is needed.

The compact Carton closer C30

The Sprinter C30 three-flap carton-closing machine is a compact closer that needs little operating space. It handles cartons very smoothly without need for turning.
The machine can be placed in line with the Sprinter F30 erecting machine. The Sprinter C30 can handle a large variety of carton shapes. It is an extremely flexible machine that can easily be adapted to your demands. The speed is up to 40 cartons per minute.

The range of convenience products on offer is growing steadily and therefore too the demand for sleeving machines.
A product can be fitted with a cardboard sleeve in either of two ways: the packaging is slid into the sleeve, or the sleeve is folded around the packaging and then sealed.
Schut Systems recently introduced a new type of sleeving machine: the ASM60.
What makes the ASM60 different from the typical sleever is that the ASM60 works with pre-glued cardboard sleeves. This makes the move from manual to machine sleeve fitting very simple indeed.

Erecting cartons with or without glue

Schut Systems’ tray and carton erectors form a carton from a blank and are available in speeds of up to around 30, 60 and 150 cartons per minute (c/min). The blanks are erected to form a box with attached lid or to form a tray, either by locking the flaps together or sealing them with glue. This results in a large fill opening that makes it easy to fill the carton, manually or automatically. The erector can be integrated in a new or existing packaging line or can function as a stand-alone machine.
The Schut Systems carton-erecting machines F30, F60 and F60-2 (double headed) form blanks by using a mechanical locking. A proven method that offers many advantages. You will not need any glue, changing carton sizes is easy and the carton construction is very stable.
The F111 carton and tray erecting machine can erect a carton by using glue or by mechanical locking. The machine has a special style. The motor is built at the top of the machine, the benefits of this construction catches the eye:  
The machine is easily accessible and clear on all four sides. The frame is made of stainless steel and very easy to keep clean. The horizontal carton magazine is at an ergonomic working height. The F111 can also be quickly changed (within 3 minutes) by means of hand wheels and quick connections. The size range is wide and both corrugated  and solid board can be processed.
After loading, the lid and side flaps are closed in a Schut Systems carton closing machine; eg over the C30 angle closer, the S600, C113 or S800 or closing machine.

Packaging machines are becoming more and more complex. Often all these extras are not even used. The Schut Systems Horizontal Cartoners are very easy to handle and do simply what they have to do: Forming a carton, loading it (semi-manual) and closing it. Simple low speed machines without any extras. That’s the strength of the E300M, Twinseal, E2000 and Spartan carton closers.
Take for example the E300M semi-automatic horizontal cartoning machine. A carton is filled with product by hand, placed before the carriers in the machine and the flaps will be sealed automatically by hotmelt (Nordson Unit)
The Spartan is an intermittent horizontal cartoning machine with a speed of 25 cartons per minute. A simple and solid machine, easy to operate. It can handle paperboard as well as corrugated board.
Quick payback time
The pay-back time of the horizontal cartoning machine is thanks to its excellent price - quality performance very short. There are 2 advantages. Savings on wages and saving on carton costs.
