Efficient retail logistics require packaging which can be filled directly at the place of harvest; which offers optimum product protection and space-saving dimensions during transport and can be used on supermarket shelves for sale to consumers. Together with our long-standing partner Kartoffel Kuhn, based in Mannheim, Germany,  we at Kunert Wellpappe Biebesheim have developed just such a product solution which combines suitability for use in the field and attractive presentation of the goods at the point of sale.

Kunert Wellpappe provides a reasonably priced and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional steel containers with the durable and robust disposable container made of corrugated cardboard. Because steel is heavy and expensive to buy and maintain. Therefore, steel containers are too expensive to use as disposable packaging. They have to be transported back from the final destination at a high cost. The situation is quite different with corrugated cardboard: The disposable container meets the same requirements and requires no return transportation. Furthermore, the disposable container can be suitably integrated into the production process – all thanks to customised development, which has come about due to close collaboration with the customer SaarGummi.

To ensure the high quality bicycle arrives safely with the end customer, Kunert Wellpappe has developed a custom-made packaging for e-bikes. The B-flute provides the packaging with the necessary stability and strength. The die-cut packaging has handles which are reinforced with tape.  The tailor-made packaging does not simply facilitate the bike to be transported more safely – it also enables space-saving transportation. In addition, as the packaging is recyclable, it also contributes to making environmental mobility even more sustainable.
