HEUFT eXaminer II XS: reliable detection in a confined space
Anyone wishing to find more than just metal when detecting foreign objects in filled food containers needs a radiometric inspection. The pulsed X-ray technology available exclusively from HEUFT is the first choice for maximum precision with the lowest level of radiation in this case. The new HEUFT eXaminer II XS now makes it possible to use this where space is limited. The compact stand-alone device detects solid foreign objects such as metal and hard plastic fragments or glass splinters in freshly filled stand-up pouches, squeeze bottles, composite packaging or food cans. X-ray strobes which can be positioned and adjusted in accordance with the product for a sidewall inspection provide gapless coverage of the total container volume for this.
The slim HEUFT eXaminer II XS can be integrated directly at the conveyor in a space-saving and flexible manner in order to inspect full packaging completely: unique, safely encased, flexibly adjustable X-ray strobes illuminate the entire volume horizontally from the side for this purpose. The result: a gapless complete coverage from the flat base to above the fill line which makes high density foreign objects visible everywhere in the container. The device can check fill levels, closures and product markings at the same time. Above all it now also provides food producers with little space along the line an affordable foreign object detection on a HEUFT level.
The unique, pulsed X-ray technology which is only available from leading manufacturers of in-line inspection systems is used for this. Its already unequalled low radiation is reduced again with new high-voltage components, X-ray generators and full-field image converters whereas the precision of the detection continues to increase. The HEUFT reflexx² real-time image processing system clearly differentiates between harmless cosmetic faults and really critical contaminants.
The HEUFT eXaminer II XS based on the HEUFT SPECTRUM II device platform achieves a new dimension in precision when tracking containers, detecting faults and rejecting. And the audiovisual HEUFT NaVi user guidance provides each user with step-by-step assistance individually tailored to him and his tasks for an error-free, tamper resistant operation. An X-ray based foreign object detection on a HEUFT level is now also possible where space is limited.
