UNIPA Kunststofftechnik has specialized in developing and manufacturing thermoformed packaging for industrial purposes. Apart from its thermoforming competence, the company’s success comes from a thorough understanding of the customers’ requirements.
UNIPA operates light gauge as well as heavy gauge thermoforming machines to cover a wide range of part-sizes. Cleanroom facilities are available.
The company’s own CAD/CAM-facilities are delivering construction data for the parts and moulds to a well-equipped in-house mould-shop.
Established in 1970, UNIPA has since been serving customers in Germany, Europe and other parts of the world from Neustadt an der Weinstrasse located in the Southwest of Germany.
Handling Trays and Industrial Packaging
When the main purpose of packaging is protection, then all kinds of product-handling issues follow soon after. Handling trays provide the means for automatic and/or manual handling, stacking, conveying, shipping and storing.
Depending on the logistical requirements, either one-way or returnable solutions may be appropriate. Whether the product to be protected and handled is a plug-in connector, a cardan shaft or some decorative element, thermoformed trays may be the solution to handle it safe and efficient.
Thermoformed Packaging Solutions
Thermoforming has several advantages for manufacturing secondary packaging for pharmaceutical products. It is possible to develop packaging solutions within a relatively short time span and to provide samples very quickly. Custom made moulds can be manufactured at very reasonable prices. Adjustments can often be accomplished with only little expenditure. Also, the lot sizes for an economical production are lower compared to other processing technologies. A variety of plastic materials are available for lightweight yet strong packaging products.
