The Combimat 10 and 14 head multihead weighers stand out due to their high speed, accuracy and excellent value for money. In addition, a multihead weigher can be used for a variety of products and weights, because of the many differences between the available versions. It is mostly applied for filling consumer packagings such as 2-1000 g bags, jars, dishes and boxes.
Multihead weighers can be used for various applications in both the food and non-food industry:
- Cherry tomatoes
- IQF chicken fillets
- Chicken- and fish nuggets
- Easter eggs
At the multihead the product is transported to the feed hoppers by a central vibrating top cone and vibrating feeders. The hoppers will discharge the product into the weigh hoppers, where the highly accurate load cells determine the weight. Each weigh hopper contains approximately a quarter of the set weight and the weigher itself will calculate the combination which is closest to the target weight. The selected hoppers are opened and flow together into the central discharge chute. Subsequently, the products are dumped into the packaging machine.
Versions and options
The Combimat multihead weighers are made of stainless steel and can be cleaned easily, because all hoppers, vibrating feeders and chutes can be assembled and disassembled without using any tools. Because of the different volumes of the weigh hoppers (0,5 l, 1,6 l, 2,5 l and 5 l), a suitable solution can be found for nearly every weight and volume.
The Combimat weighers have many options:
- 6WL and 15dp dimple plate
- Timing hopper under the weigher for proper transport to the packaging machine
- Inclined vibrating feeders for very sticky products
- U-shaped vibrating feeders for small target weights
- 60° inclination for sticky products (e.g. lettuce)
The machine is operated by a convenient 10.4” colour touchscreen and can save up to 99 programs. The extensive software contains weighing filters, e-mark control and password monitoring.
