This plant was designed to apply a label to form bottles and cylindrical products with a wrap-around label. Owing to the Rapid 200 series dispensers used here, labels up to 200 mm wide can be processed.
This system is equivalent to a form bottle machine with an extension for applying labels around cylindrical products.
The modular design makes it possible to integrate further components at any time (e.g. label dispenser on the bottle top of the bottle). In view of the fact that no format parts are required for separating and aligning the products, this system covers a broad range of products requiring labels. When using step-action motor dispensers it is possible to achieve a throughput of up to 200 products per minute.
The products are separated pneumatically at rates of up to 60 units per minute. At higher outputs we use a lateral pair of conveyor belts to pull the products apart. Thereafter the products move into an aligning station that can be adjusted for different product sizes via a double-threaded spindle. It is not important for the products to be aligned straight, but that all of the products are aligned the same way. This form of alignment has proved good until now, because the aligning station is extremely reliable and does not require any form assemblies.
At the end of the aligning station the products run under a stabilisation belt that stabilises the products on the conveyor belt before they reach the labelling station. At the labelling station a label is now applied to 2 sides of the products.
