LEIPA is a medium sized family owned business, controlled by a Management Holding entity. The group’s business activities fall into the three sectors Paper, Packaging and Service. Our production facilities are located in Schwedt, Schrobenhausen and Bucharest, and in addition to Germany, there are sales companies in the UK, France, Poland, Austria and Benelux. The group realized with 1685 employees a turnover of 740 million euro.
The Paper business means production of magazine papers for offset and rotogravure. The Schwedt mill produces magazine papers for publications, advertising inserts, flyers and catalogues.
Within Packaging, the group produces special paper, board, liner and flexible packaging.
Schrobenhausen manufactures white and coloured special papers that are typically used for registers, envelopes, jiffy bags etc., board for calendar backs, folding cartons, book covers, paper plates etc., as well as flexible packaging materials for the healthcare, pharmaceutical and food industries.
The Schrobenhausen converting operation offers a wide range of laminated and mono-layer materials made from paper, plastics, synthetic materials or aluminium foil with extrusion, dispersion and lacquer coating – and if required, with printing. The Schrobenhausen operation is complemented by LEIPA’s plant in Bucharest. At Schwedt, we produce coated and uncoated white testliners for the corrugated board industry.
Our Service activities are mainly within LEIPA Logistik GmbH, which organises the materials handling and total transport system of the group. The offices in Schwedt and Schrobenhausen work to optimise the in and outflow of materials from each site.
Our raw material is essentially waste paper. The supplier is the subsidiary company MAD Recycling GmbH. The group operates out of bases in Munich, Ingolstadt, Krostitz (Saxony) and Schwedt, and hast set up subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Poland and Lithuania.
