Order-picking and handling of heavy loads must become safer, more flexible, and in particular – more convenient!
The perfectly manoeuvrable 2-handle LEO now permits heavy loads up to 2,5 tons to be moved easily and effectively by a single person without effort.
An innovation for safe and highly efficient working procedures: More precise positioning, parking, and manoeuvering with the new 2-handle version of the successful LEO2500 – a technology that became firmly established in everyday use with the LEO750 some time ago, and provides a significant increase in mobility. Based on extensive experience and comprehensive know-how, and in close cooperation with the customer, the brand manufacturer EXPRESSO in Kassel, Germany, provides individual solutions for all branches of industry. For example, well-known automakers in south Germany already use the LEO2500 for transporting load-handling dollies & trolleys in their vehicle body assembly plants. These companies rely on EXPRESSO's innovative strength and reliability, and use the LEO to improve in-house logistics and optimize operational planning, thus making a significant contribution to increased productivity.
Thanks to the intelligent software, both hands can now be used for easy, precise manoeuvering of the load, e.g. when docking to a trolley/dolly frame. What's more, the LEO permits pinpoint steering and accurate parking. The new handle design enables the LEO to be pulled with just one hand. Hereby, the operator walks conveniently alongside the vehicle for even better control. That's a bonus in terms of safety and mobility.
Forklift-free zones – thanks to patented drive concept
The LEO combines EXPRESSO's unique, patented touch2move drive concept with the principles of motorized 'walkie' ground transport equipment using tiller handle control. The vehicle is fitted with two sensor handles and one drive motor for optimum manoeuvrability and utmost compactness, permitting convenient and effortless handling of one or more trolleys/carts. This makes transport and parking a piece of cake. With this trend-setting device, EXPRESSO Deutschland GmbH – with worldwide sales – closes a
handling gap that could previously be overcome only by means of bulky transport equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet trucks, or with considerable physical effort using manual pallet trucks. Simply by touching the sensor handle with integral hand detection, the vehicle and its load of max. 2,5 tons “obeys” the operator's natural movements, and automatically adapts to his/her walking speed. This is a highly convenient and safe logistic solution that also enables persons with a less robust constitution to move heavy loads safely and ergonomically without physical effort – and the operator needs neither a driving license nor any special training. What's more, it greatly improves employee motivation, and helps you comply with increasingly strict accident prevention regulations.
Another special advantage is the possibility of subsidies from Inclusion Offices, as the patented drive concept meets the tough requirements in an impressive manner. The standard equipment of the LEO includes an electro-hydraulic docking system with adaptable coupling hook. Two buttons on the sensor handle provide convenient control of the docking/undocking operation. Moreover, the well-known transport equipment supplier provides application-specific solutions in close cooperation with customers.
