With an annual growth rate of 125%, a paper processing capacity of 200,000 tons/year, a production volume of 145,000 tons/year for woodfree paper and 50,000 tons/year for cardboard, the MOPAK Group continues its 80-year journey towards higher quality products, continuous improvement and innovation.

Using its equity for continuous growth, MOPAK currently operates the following companies:

MOPAK Taşköprü Hemp Pulp-Cigarette Paper Plant
MOLAYPAK Tiftruk Baskı-Ambalaj San. ve Tic. A. Ş. (Tiefdruck Printing and Packaging)

The Dalaman Pulp-Paper and Cardboard Plant, taken over in 2001 from the Turkish Privatization Administration, has been commended as the "Most Successful Privatization Project" by public authorities, regarding to its success in renovation and output growth.

MOPAK also meets the cigarette paper, filter paper (plug-wrap) and cigarette-tipping paper needs of both domestic and foreign cigarette manufacturers after taking over the Kastamonu-Taşköprü Pulp and Cigarette Paper Integrated Plant from the Privatization Administration in 2003.

Breaking Ground in Turkey...
Committed to raising consumers' awareness and protecting the environment, MOPAK has pioneered in Turkey by initiating a project to develop "Industrial Eucalyptus Plantation." Besides job opportunities, the Industrial Forests Project will also support the country's ecological system. Planned to make a significant contribution to both the national economy and the environment, the Industrial Eucalyptus Grandis Plantation project—the first of its kind in Turkey--was launched on April 5, 2003.

The plantation area, covering 75,000 hectares, is expected to produce three million cubic meters of wood for paper and 750,000 tons of eucalyptus pulp.

Aimed at obtaining wood for pulp production and producing,  exporting pulp and paper, this project is inspired by the benefits of paper produced from eucalyptus pulp. These benefits include:

  • higher degree of whiteness
  • homogeneous dispersion on surface
  • high opacity
  • dust-free
  • high volume
  • uniform thickness
  • longer life for printing knives
  • homogeneous humidity dispersion
  • high breaking, bursting and tearing factors
  • problem-free in gluing, printing and photocopying applications
  • high surface resistance

The Industrial Eucalyptus Plantation Project has received praise from the Aegean Chamber of Industry for its plans to obtain eucalyptus wood, used as a primary raw material in the manufacture of paper, not by import but through the establishment of a eucalyptus plantation that will work under a contract.

Committed to becoming one of the most respected brands of the 21st century, the MOPAK Group develops its investment projects in accordance with customer expectations in order to provide better products and services. In an industry dominated by intense competition, the group has attained a prestigious position in both domestic and international markets with its commitment to quality, product range, pre-and after-sales service standards.

MOPAK Group knows that providing employees with regular training opportunities to increase individual and team motivation, contributing to the country's social and cultural development are as important as production and technology to become a global company and a global brand. The MOPAK Industrial High School established in 1997 trains qualified personnel for the industry. Activities in the fields of arts and culture initiated by the MOPAK Education Foundation (MEV), launched in 1998, are also part of the group's contribution to the social development of Turkey and the region.
